The Hair and Nails Salon stood at 18 Sandygate Road for around 11 years until Tracy took over in March 2011. She brought her own Inspiration to the business, and has relaunched the salon with a new name and a bright new attitude.
Of course, it's the people who work here that make it a great place to visit, and along with our visiting specialists, that's down to our stylists: Lizzie, Sarah, apprentice Isobel, and, of course, Tracy.
Lizzie's photo here was out of date almost as soon as it was put on the website, but it's a fair bet you'll recognise her when you come to Inspiration, whatever her current hair colour is! Lizzie qualified as a junior stylist in April 2011, having started training at the tender age of 15. She did her practical training at the salon, so we knew what we were letting ourselves in for - lots of energy, lots of enthusiasm and a passion for experimenting! Since qualifying, Lizzie has gone from strength to strength. She has been on numerous cutting and colouring courses at Wella UK Manchester and has also qualified in her level 2 Barbering course, done in-salon by House Of W Training Academy. Lizzie enjoys all aspects of Hairdressing, her favourite being colouring. She loves to experiment, especially on her own! Why not make an appointment for a free consultation with Lizzie and she what she can recommend?
Tracy trained in Sheffield and London, including courses from Paul Mitchell, L'Oreal and Toni and Guy and has worked in Berkshire and even on board a cruise ship! You can hear why Crosspool is better than the Carribean, and how Tracy came to run her own salon, by listening to this short interview from December 2011.
After training locally, senior stylist Sarah travelled in Australia, working there as a stylist for six months. When she returned to England, Sarah worked at a salon in Broomhill and was manager there until 2010. She has been part of the team since then, and we hope she doesn't get the travelling bug again for a while!
